Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A new criminal case has been opened against a former Rochester school district employee accused of molesting a female student at Sunset Terrace elementary school.

The 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct charge was filed in Olmsted County Court against 29-year-old Nicholas Keller of Stewartville, who was employed as a teacher in the district’s School Aged Child Care (SACC) program.

The case filed in September accused Keller of molesting a girl at Sunset Terrace in 2016.

The new case accuses Keller of molesting another young girl over a three year period at Gage and Sunset Terrace schools, beginning in 2006 when she was 9-years-old.

According to the criminal complaint, police were notified in 2011 but the girl told an investigator she did not want to talk about it. She changed her mind in September after learning of the Keller case and got in touch with the same investigator. She told the investigator Keller had fondled her multiple times, once while her class was at a movie.

The criminal complaint says Keller was first hired by the district in 2006 to work in the SACC program at Hoover School. The district says he resigned from his Sunset Terrace job in May, about the same time police were notified about the other case.

Keller is also facing eight counts of child porn involving girls under the age of 18. During the police investigation into the sex abuse case, officers say they searched Keller’s laptop and found it contained child pornography.
