Eagan, MN (KROC-AM News) - An Apple Valley man was killed in a traffic crash Thursday afternoon. The State Patrol says 59-year-old Thomas Niederer was driving a pickup that left a highway in Eagan and rolled down an embankment. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected during the crash, while his 26-year-old son was buckled up and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Two people were transported to St. Marys Hospital yesterday following a traffic crash near Hayfield. The State Patrol says 48-year-old Terry Larson of Dodge Center was driving south on Highway 56 when he slowed down to take a left turn and his pickup was rear-ended by another vehicle driven by 23-year-old Jacob Backen-Vanmaanen from Adams. The crash was reported just after 1:30 pm. Both men suffered non-life threatening injuries.
