NOAA says the geomagnetic storm happening in the atmosphere will create a beautiful sky tonight.

Tonight the 'Northern Lights' should be visible across most of Minnesota. For the best viewing you should head north of Rochester to get away from the city lights.

According to NOAA: The Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) are the result of electrons colliding with the upper reaches of Earth's atmosphere.

Our forecast calls for minimal cloud cover tonight so the Northern Lights should be visible. If you get a great picture, please share it with us on our facebook.
