The State Patrol says a 17-year-old girl ran a stop sign on a rural road in Jackson County in southwest Minnesota Thursday and collided with another vehicle, killing its driver. The victim was identified as 65-year-old Dwight Krogman of Sherburn. The 17-year-old driver and two other teens in her car were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A St. Cloud area man was killed Thursday night during a police chase in rural Stearns County. The State Patrol says the 53-year-old man was being pursued by a Stearns County deputy for a traffic violation around 9:30 when the motorcycle he was driving left the road and crashed. This was the fifth fatal wreck involving a motorcycle in Minnesota in the past week.
