Oronoco House Catches Fire

The fire was reported just before 7 p.m. at 700 Woodsview Lane southwest. The Brian Sisell family and pets made it out safely.

It appears the fire began in the garage and spread to the house.The garage and a vehicle were destroyed. The damage to the house is unknown at this time.

Investigators will return to the house today to look for the cause, which appears to have been hot ashes from a fireplace that were disposed of in the garage.

Sisell is a member of the Oronoco Fire Department.
