Binge drinking is defined as four to five drinks a sitting; heavy drinking is eight drinks a week for women, fifteen a week for men. according to data collected this year, excessive drinking cost the country about $250 billion in lost productivity in 2010. Nationwide, the top five includes cities like Corpus Christi, Texas and Kingston, New York. How about around here in the Midwest?

Fargo is North Dakota's top party town, with a 21% admitted binge drinking.

The Chicago-Naperville-Elgin triangle confesses to a 21% binge drinking rate in Illinois.

Dubuque tops Iowa, and the nation. Appleton, WI comes in second in the country and the state with 29%.
