My viewing options came down to two things last night: The Pro Bowl (yawn) or Grease: Live (meh).  So I decided that I'd flip back n' forth between them... but it's what I found out just before Grease's 6:00pm start time that skewed my interest away from football and made me pay a little more attention to the students at Rydell High...

For those who missed it, a three-hour telecast of Grease: Live aired on Fox and Vanessa Hudgen's performance as Rizzo was the thing in which everyone was talking about.  Why?  Because a lot had to do with the fact that her father passed away just hours before the performance!

"I am So sad to say that last night my daddy, Greg passed away from stage 4 cancer," she tweeted.  "Thank you to everyone who kept him in your prayers."

Vanessa, as well as the entire cast, dedicated their performances to her dad.

Here she is as Rizzo, as she sings "There Are Worse Things I Could Do" walking through the halls of Rydell High.

Meanwhile, TV Ratings for "Grease: Live" were overall positive, as Fox snagged 12.2 million viewers during the broadcast last night.
