Pixar Studios Offering Online Courses for Storytelling – for FREE!

Led by filmmakers from the Disney-owned studio, Pixar Animation Studios is offering online courses.

The “Art of Storytelling” lessons include videos, exercises, and hands-on activities for students to complete.

Students will learn from industry greats, including Minnesota’s own Pete Docter! He helped write several of biggest titles from the highly successful studio, including the Toy Story movies, as well as Monsters, Inc., WALL-E, Up, and Inside Out.

The courses are being offered through Khan Academy, a non-profit educational organization that offers free online education and will be releasing six new lessons throughout 2017 with videos, exercises and hands-on activities that take students of all ages through the concepts of storytelling.

The first of six online lessons is available now and the rest will roll out throughout the year.
