Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A teenager accused of shooting a man in what Rochester police say was a drug-related robbery last year has pleaded guilty to a first-degree aggravated robbery charge.The plea agreement worked out with 18-year-old Aries Candler calls for the dismissal of a second-degree assault charge.

Police say Candler and another teenager had met with the shooting victim near the Perkins North store to buy some marijuana. A fight broke out and moments later, a shot was fired and the victim was hit in the chin. A sentencing hearing for Candler is scheduled on October 5th.

The 19-year-old man who arranged the meeting that led to the shooting was previously sentenced to 30-months in prison, while a 22-year-old man who served as the getaway driver for Candler was placed on probation.
