St. Paul, MN (Minnesota News Network)  – Summit Church had to change the name, but the St. Paul church still celebrated first responders Saturday night.

The event was called “Love the Community.” Originally, the church had planned a “Love the Police” event, but protestors supporting the Black Lives Matter theme showed up at one of the church’s services. Pastor Joe Anderson says he didn’t want the gathering to be a political statement. He met with the protestors, then the name was changed.
