Popular Rochester Eatery Closing Soon

The owner of the popular sandwich shop on North Broadway cited the higher cost of doing business in Rochester as one of the reasons for closing.

Ed Greenheck told Jeff Kiger from the Post Bulletin that he's not exactly sure when he'll close the doors at Nelson Cheese for good but it will likely happen in the very near future. In Kiger's column, Greencheck said, "I'm not sure yet when it will close … maybe next week. I do know that soon there will no longer be a Nelson Cheese Factory in Rochester."  You can read the full article, here. 

Nelson Cheese has been in Rochester since the 80's. The original Nelson Cheese is located in Nelson, Wisconsin. There is another Nelson eatery located in Eau Claire.
