Prank Caller Convinces Employees to Smash Windows at Minnesota Burger King

Employees at the Coon Rapids Burger King were tricked into breaking the windows of the restaurant to prevent it from exploding.

Employees received a call Friday night from someone pretending to be with the local fire department. The prankster told the employee that the restaurant would explode unless they relieved pressure built up in the building. The store manager and other employees believed the caller was telling the truth so they smashed out all of the windows on the ground floor.

There is no estimate on the damage - The restaurant windows are boarded up at this time.

Investigators are still trying to identify the caller.

Police say similar stunts have happened in other states around the country.
