This Powerful Video Reminds Us of Law Enforcement’s Sacrifices

This past weekend wasn't a good one for law enforcement. Over the weekend, four police officers in three different states were shot. Three of them were injured and one officer, Benjamin Marconi, lost his life. The officers were on the job, doing their job, when these senseless incidents occurred.

These shootings took place less than three weeks after two other law enforcement officers were ambushed and killed in the Des Moines, Iowa area. Police were targeted in other areas of the country over the summer, as well, including in Dallas, Texas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As a result, several other law enforcement officers lost their lives.

I saw this powerful video today and it reminded me of the tough job the men and women who choose to "serve and protect" perform. They put their lives on the line everyday for us all. As Thanksgiving approaches, I'm thankful for these people and their service.
