Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  An Olmsted County judge has set restitution in a case involving the theft of money from a person with Alzheimer’s disease.

51-year-old Jennifer Krahn previously pleaded guilty to a felony charge of financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult and was sentenced to five years probation. During the Rochester woman’s sentencing hearing in June, the judge in the case indicated there would be restitution and has now set the amount at $10,000.

Krahn and her husband were charged last summer with taking about $30,000 from the victim’s bank account over a two-year period while the victim was living in a local senior care facility. 56-year-old Michael Krahn pleaded guilty in the case last month and is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
