Results From The Cans Film Festival

The Rochester Salvation Army partnered with Wehrenberg Theatres on Saturday for the Cans Film Festival. 

Each person who brought in 5 canned food items was allowed to attend a movie for free. A total of 12,113 canned and nonperishable food items were collected for the local food shelf. In 2013 a record 13,103 items were donated.

The top donor today arrived with his pickup bed full of canned food that amounted to approximately 1,500 cans and was awarded with a Wehrenberg Theatre year-long movie pass.

The Salvation Army Rochester Food Shelf serves low income families and individuals residing in Olmsted County.
