Gina Dewink, a native Minnesotan, has released her debut novel, "Time in My Pocket". Dewink joined me in the studio to discuss her novel and the journey it has been. A mother of two young children, Dewink had to schedule time to write. Because she only had a certain amount of time to write, she worked well under pressure and was able to complete the book in six months.

Dewink's multitasking knows no bounds, she's a part-time stay at home mother, a communications manager....and an author! This is her fourth book and while she hasn't released the previous  ones, she said this one felt right debuting to the public. I asked her what's the one thing she loved most about the book, she said:

The setting! The 1940s and 50s have always enchanted me. Getting to research and write an entire novel taking place in the golden age of Hollywood was pure fun for me. I loved all the strange little nuances I ran across - I'll be incorporating some of the fun tidbits that I discovered within the 1940s trivia at my book launch party.

Reviews are already coming in about "Time in My Pocket". Holding on to five-star ratings, one reader shared:

Really enjoyed this book. It was imaginative but also believable. Actually felt transported to 1947 because of the excellent descriptions. The storyline kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. Imagining what it would be like for a Millennial to experience life in 1947 was great. I highly recommend this book. - Diane
