Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester teenager awaiting sentencing for an aggravated robbery conviction is now sitting in the Olmsted County Jail as the suspect in the theft of a gun from a co-worker.

Rochester Police Lieutenant Mike Sadauskis says officers were called to the Zadeos Pizza restaurant in southeast Rochester Saturday afternoon by an employee who had discovered his handgun had been stolen. The 21-year-old victim, who has a permit to carry a gun, told the officers he had left the weapon in a backpack that he left in storage area that is only accessible to workers in the business and he found it was gone when he went to get something from the backpack during a break around 1:45 pm.

His manager told Police a co-worker, who had previously asked to leave early, had earlier spent an unusually long time in the storage area. The co-worker, identified as 19-year-old Dylan Sutter, was arrested Saturday evening while working his second shift of the day. The missing gun has not been recovered.

Sutter is currently scheduled to be sentenced on July 30th for a conviction connected to a burglary last September during which the victims woke up to find him stealing their jewelry. He was previously arrested for shoplifting ammunition from the Scheels store at Apache Mall.
