A 42-year-old Rochester man has been sentenced to 50 months in prison for his involvement in two home invasions in the city last year.

Robert Reed earlier entered Alford pleas to three felony charges, including aggravated robbery and assault. The plea means he does not admit guilt but acknowledges there is sufficient evidence to convict him.

Reed and three women were accused of forcing their way into two homes last May and demanding money from the occupants. Police say Reed also punched one of the victims. The intruders did not get any money, but stole speakers and a video game console from one home and a young pitbull from the other.

Two of the three women accused of the home invasions were apprehended a few hours after the crimes were reported. One was sentenced to probation, while the case against the other is pending.
