You read the title right! We're not joking. A Rochester man, Ron Simon will sit in a tub in front of Luxury Bath Remodeling to help raise funds for the Women's Shelter to stop domestic violence.

Ron plans to spend 42 hours in the tub on top of a 20 foot structure. This is to spread awareness that 20 women are turned away each month due to lack of space and funds.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. Some history regarding this month:

Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) evolved from the "Day of Unity" held in October 1981 and conceived by the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The intent was to connect advocates across the nation who were working to end violence against women and their children.

Ron in a Tub will help raise awareness and donations will go to the Womens Shelter, Inc. The event will kick off Tuesday, October 3 at 3pm with games, drawings and food. A Mayors proclamation will occur at 4pm. Ron will get in the tub at 5pm. The full schedule can be found here.
