Rochester Police Apprehend 19 Year Old Burglary Suspect

The Rochester Police Department received calls Saturday morning shortly after 1:00 am of gunshots heard in the 1600 block of 8 1/2 Street southeast in Rochester.  Neighbords reported a couple of vehicles seen leaving the area   Police did find evidence that there was indeed gunshots fired, but no victims or suspects are in custody at this time.

Police also received a call around five o'clock this morning from a newspaper carrier of a suspicious individual in the 1500 block of Wilshire Woods Lane in northeast Rochester.

According to the report, a 19 year old Rochester man has been arrested.  He had several items in his posession linked to homes and cars in the neighborhood.

He is currently in the adult detention center.
