Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A dispute over a stolen cellphone was at the center of a confrontation outside a northeast Rochester home Tuesday.

Police were sent to the home in the 100 block of 9th St NE around 2:30 p.m.

They found 20-year-old Tanner Becvar still there and also found a gun and baseball bat in his vehicle. An 18-year-old who lives at the residence told police Becvar was accusing him of stealing his cellphone. He said Becvar initially threatened him with the bat. He says Becvar then pulled out a gun and began waving it around as he demanded his phone.

The teen told police he did not steal Becvar’s phone.

Becvar was arrested and is facing several charges.
