Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  A man suspected of being involved in a stabbing in Rochester last week has been apprehended.

Police arrested 37-year-old Lorenzo Heard Tuesday on a felony assault charge. He was identified by a witness as the person who stabbed a man outside an apartment in the 1900 block of 8 ½ Street SE Friday night.

The 35-year-old victim was treated at St. Marys Hospital for wounds to his chest and back. The injuries were classified as non-life threatening. The victim wasn’t very cooperative, only telling officers he had been stabbed by a man who had a “cheap Walmart knife.”
