Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester jewelry store is reporting the theft of an expensive bracelet.

Police say three men entered the store located in the Kahler Hotel lobby area around 4:30 yesterday afternoon and began looking at various items. One asked the woman in the store about a bracelet and as she was showing it to the man, she heard a display case behind her open up.  She turned to see one of the other men grab another bracelet and run. That’s when the man who she was waiting on tried to grab the bracelet she had been showing him but she hung on and he gave up and fled.

The woman told police the stolen bracelet is worth $28,000.

A few hours later, a woman lost a considerable amount of cash and jewelry when she had her purse stolen at the Apache Mall.

The 52 year old woman - who is from Kuwait but has been living in the city - says she was leaving the mall in the Macy’s area when a man knocked her to the ground, grabbed her purse and ran.

The woman says the jewelry and cash in the purse was in excess of $10,000.
