Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police investigators are looking into two incidents reported over the weekend.

The first happened around 9:45 p.m. Friday.  

A 20 year old woman says she was out for a walk in the area of Teton Court and 11th Ave NE when she was suddenly punched in the face by a man. The woman says the man also began groping her and she was fearful he was trying to sexually assault her. She began hitting back and kicking the man and was able to get away.

The woman described the man as Middle Eastern in appearance, in his early 20s, 5-9 with a medium build.

The other incident was reported early Sunday.

A 44 year old woman and her 16 year old son say they were out for walk in the 1200 block of Harbor Dr SE just after midnight when they were approached by two men. The woman says the men demanded money. The woman says when she told the men they had no money, they attacked her and her son, knocking both to the ground. The men then walked away.   

The woman and her son later went to St. Mary’s for treatment of their injuries.
