Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police are releasing more information about a double home invasion reported late Friday night.


Police say two masked men entered an apartment at the Bear Creek Family complex near Longfellow School around 10 pm. One had a gun and the other displayed a knife as they demanded money and jewelry from a 44 year old woman after her 10 year old son opened the door. They also ransacked the apartment, apparently looking for more items.

They then forced the woman, her son and two other children to go to the unit next door, occupied by a cousin of the first victim. The men demanded money and jewelry from the 39 year old woman and her teenage daughter.They then ordered all the victims into a bedroom and took their phones before leaving.

A spokesman says the men threatened the victims but they were not injured. The amount of money and value of the jewelry were not disclosed.
