Target spokesperson Joshua Thomas told WCCO  that the costume is being pulled because of "the current environment."

If you were planning on dressing up as a Creepy Clown this year for Halloween; you'll have to find your costume somewhere else. Target has pulled all clown masks from their stores and website.

Creepy Clown incidents continue to be reported around the county. Most turn out to be pranks but, according to New York magazine, there have been a few disturbing cases.

Our listeners have reported clown sightings in Rochester and Stewartville and earlier this month we shared a story about a girl that was arrested for making threats against Rochester while posing as a clown on Facebook.

What do you think? Should Target have pulled their clown masks from the shelves? Or are they being over-sensitive to recent events?
