Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - It looks like Rochester police may have caught the person behind some recent daytime residential burglaries.

Officers sent to apprehend a local teenager for an unrelated matter on Friday discovered him in bed with a 9mm handgun. Because he is a convicted felon, 18-year-old Souleysi Singharath is not supposed to possess a gun.

Some drugs were also found in his room and that led to a search that turned up property that had been taken in last week’s burglaries.

Singharath lives on the 5700 block of Conway Ct NW,  near two of the break-ins.
