Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police officers were called to a home in the Country Club Manor neighborhood early Sunday to check a report of a woman who was threatening another occupant with a machete and hatchet.

The officers ordered the woman and a man with her to come out but they refused. The officers then entered the home in the 4000 block of 6th St NW and found several people inside, including two young children. They learned a 29-year-old man at the home had made the call.

He told the officers he got into a heated argument with the woman when she brought some friends home that he doesn’t get along with. That’s when he says the woman got the two weapons and threatened to kill him. He locked himself in his bedroom and called 911.

The officers eventually arrested 37-year-old Christal Hamilton on felony assault and other charges, although no weapons were found.
