Rochester Woman Beaten, Robbed of $42

Rochester police are investigating the assault and robbery of a 40 year old woman described as homeless.

The woman contacted police early yesterday to report the incident.    She told investigators she was assaulted at a friend’s residence in the 500 block of 1st avenue northwest.  The woman says after she was assaulted,  the man took $42 from her.

She says the assailant apparently attacked her because he had seen her talking to a police officer and suspected she was an informant.
