Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester woman says she was "an angel doing God’s work” when she was found beating up another woman inside the victim’s home Thursday morning.

Police Capt John Sherwin says officers were called to the Slatterly Park neighborhood after getting a report of a suspicious woman who had knocked on the front door of a home and then walked away.

A short while later, officers heard some noise a few blocks away. They were approached by a 4-year-old  girl who yelled “my mommy needs help.” The officers went into the family’s home in the 700 block of 9th Ave SE and saw a woman assaulting the child’s mother.

The officers pulled the woman off the victim. When asked what was going on, the woman told the officer the victim was a demon who had been performing witchcraft on her. She also accused the other woman of stealing her husband.

The 37-year-old victim told the officer the other woman had kicked in her door and then attacked her. She also said the two know each other and didn’t know what prompted the attack. It apparently was drugs. Sherwin says the woman was obviously high on something and she had some meth in her possession.

Arrested was 40-year old Torria Wells, who is facing multiple charges.
