Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police arrested a man Tuesday night a few hours after he was accused of breaking into the apartment of his ex-girlfriend.

The woman told police 37-year-old James Bailey showed up at her residence in the 1700 block of 1st St SW around 9:30 pm. The woman says she had not had contact with Bailey for some time and refused to let him in. She says he then went to a rear door and broke in.

The woman says Bailey began chasing her around inside the apartment and took her cellphone. Another person who was there at the time called 911 and Bailey fled in a car.

Police say the woman was not hurt but Bailey was arrested on burglary and domestic assault charges.
