Intern Mathew and I were hungry today... hungry for cheese curds!  The sweet aroma of melted cheese was seeping its way into our studio, and it was driving us crazy!

So we headed out to the 33rd annual Rochesterfest on a quest to find the best cheese curds.  With so many to choose from, it was a very hard call to make...

Although we only had time to stop at three stands, there were at least 5-6 at Rochesterfest that were serving up those mouth watering golden fried nuggets of cheese!

The bottom line with all our stops is this:  They were ALL delicious!

Our 1st stop was at the "Cheese Curd" stand had great taste along with a huge variety with their 4 different flavors, including original, ranch, cajun and garlic!

Our 2nd stop at "Concessions by D. Landsteiner" had an awesome batter with a great "crunch", along with their white cheddar cheese that was just exploding out of their batter.

Our final stop was at "Concessions by Charlie", and they had the freshest batch out of Ellsworth, Wisconsin.  They also had that "squeak" you hear when you know you're eating a perfect cheese curd!  We didn't need ranch or ketchup, as they were perfect on their own!  Charlies also had the rowdiest and most excited employees we ran into during the afternoon as well!  It was great to meet them.

Mathew and I would like to thank all the stands that let us try their cheese curds!  As you can see by the video, we definitely got our fill!  Pretty sure we're set until next years Rochestefest...
