The group known as the “ Butt Kickers “ spent 6 hours in an area covering about 1.5 miles and by the time they were finished on Thursday, they had collected 23,000 butts. That’s about 3,000 more than last year and nearly 2,000 fewer than in 2012.  For their work, the students received a $1500 check from Mayor Brede, the RDA and the city Park Department that will be used by the school’s science lab.
