Gas prices in Rochester went up Sunday night, rising by a dime to $2.25.

They have been steadily increasing since dropping below $2 a gallon in early January. The last time prices were this high was in mid-December.

They dropped into the $1.80’s before shooting back over the $2 mark two weeks ago.

According to Minnesotagasprices.com, the average statewide price for regular currently stands at $2.18.The average was $1.97 a month ago.

A year ago at this time, regular was selling for $3.33 a gallon.
