The Rochester Police Department has confirmed the body found in Silver Lake yesterday was that of a woman reported missing earlier in the day. The family of 53 year old Dawn Ehret says she failed to return home after leaving on foot Wednesday evening. The family says she suffered unknown medical problems.

The discovery came as officers were searching the north side of the lake around 4 p.m. for any signs of the missing woman. Her home is about six blocks from where the body was found.

Police Lt. Casey Moilanen says the body was found partially submerged about 15 feet from shore. Moilanen says the final autopsy report may be weeks away so the cause and manner of death won’t be known until then. He says there were no signs of foul play
