Imagine coming into work one day, serving a bunch of tables - one in particular being a huge engagement party. It's busy. You didn't really want to come into work because today was your mother's birthday who recently passed away. That was what was going on in Joy Hundorf's mind a couple of weeks ago. Joy is a recent graduate of Rushford-Peterson High school and is college bound this fall. This surprise could not have arrived at a more perfect time. Little did she know, she would receive the surprise of her life. A surprise that she never really expected to happen.

Joy submitted her name on an Instagram contest for Collins Orthodontics. She had actually forgot that she had participated in the contest. The last couple of years have been difficult for Joy. She lost both parents within a year of each other. The compassion of her employer at Stumpy's restaurant where she works, knows what kindness looks like. They became Joy's guardian, and so it couldn't have been a more perfect setting for what was about to occur. Here's the video, grab a box of kleenex:
