Flowers can be one of the most expensive pieces to a wedding. Yes, they're certainly beautiful and add a lot to your big day, but holy moly. My sister was a money saving machine when it came to her wedding planning - she made her own boutonnieres.

We went to Hobby Lobby and started by finding flowers closest to her color scheme (we brought the junior bridesmaid dress with for reference). She had a few picture ideas from Pinterest that also helped a ton! We picked up the burlap and a hot glue gun to secure the flowers together, she already had pheasant feathers (they had them in the store too so we could at least visualize how it would pair with our flower choice), and the rest is history. Check out how awesome they turned out:

WAY cheaper than real flowers and similar to stuff you can buy on Etsy. Just to give you an idea, she spent about $100 on her bouquet flowers, the bridesmaid's flowers, enough stuff to make 10 boutonnieres, and the materials to make my dress sash.

We will be making her bouquet too - pictures coming soon!!
