SCAM ALERT – If Walmart Sends You a Check in the Mail, DO NOT CASH IT!

If you receive a large check in the mail from Walmart, immediately throw it away according to reports!  

It's most likely part of a new holiday season shopping scam:

Thousands of Americans have been mailed a fake check with a letter telling the victims that they’ve been picked to participate in the company’s new “Quality Control” program. This is obviously not true.  If you cash in one of these checks, the scammers can hack into your bank account and drain your funds!

The big giveaway is looking at the checks, as they state that they're distributed by Wachovia, a company that is no longer in business.

Just remember: If it seems too good to be true it probably is...
