Criminals are inventing new ways to scam people every day. Here's another example:

The couple in this story returned home one day to find a suspicious note on their door saying "Sorry we missed you!" along with directions to have them call a number to get the company more information like their email and such.

Not recognizing the company or remembering ordering anything, the wife then hopped online to google the possibility of this being a scam.

She was right, it was!
