I live within walking distance to one of the biggest parks in the city, reasonably close to a road that's a thoroughfare for the parks entrance where cars go well over 40 in a 30mph zone. How do I fight back? As a survey proves, I speed through other neighborhoods.

Human nature kind of tells us that rules are made to be broken; especially when the rules are those of the road. A survey by AAA concludes that almost almost 2/3 of people HATE speeding going on in their neighborhood, specifically 10 or more mph's over the speed limit. Oh, 44% of those same people admit to speeding through neighborhoods.

An odd thing I know about living in the Rochester area my whole life is that some people consider stop lights as more of suggestion than the law; almost like it's acceptable to blow through red lights because they're entitled to because of stature or busy schedule. Our fair city is not the only one with that problem. 73% of people say it's completely unacceptable to run red lights while 36% of those do it anyway.

That's the tip of the road-burg(?) of other habits that people apply to others but not to themselves while they're behind the wheel. Check out the scary figures here (PRNewsWire)
