School Bus Driver Accused of Drunk Driving

A school bus driver for the Lewiston-Altura School District has been charged with driving his bus while drunk.  The Winona County Sheriff’s Department says 54 year old Karl Herber of Rollingstone was arrested Tuesday afternoon after the bus left a road near Rollingstone and struck some trees. There were five children on the bus at the time, no injuries were reported. A preliminary test administered after the crash put Herber’s blood-alcohol-concentration at .09.
