Genoa, MN (KROC-AM News) - Wednesday afternoon’s snow showers may have contributed to a traffic crash involving a school bus northeast of Rochester.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department and State Patrol responded around 3:30 p.m. to reports of a collision involving a school bus and an SUV on 75th street near the town of Genoa, about halfway between Oronoco and Pine Island. The bus had heavy front-end damage and came to a stop in the ditch along the roadway. It’s not yet known if there were any injuries.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation reported slick conditions on many roads in southeast Minnesota after they became partially snow covered around the same time the crash occurred.
