Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News)  - A St. Paul man has been sentenced in Olmsted County court for convictions stemming from an automobile crash last year that caused serious injuries. The crash happened last October when 26-year-old James Morseth attempted to pass another vehicle at a high rate of speed in a no-passing zone.

Morseth, his passenger, and the driver of the other vehicle were all listed in critical condition when they were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital following the crash. Deputies later went to the hospital to arrest Morseth, but he had already left. It took more than a year for him to be located and taken into custody.

Morseth later pleaded guilty to three felony counts of criminal vehicular operation. Yesterday, Morseth was sentenced to 33 months in prison.
