Severe Weather Causes The Minnesota Vikings To Issue An Emergency Plan And Several Area High School Football Teams To Reschedule
The National Weather Service in La Crosse is saying the major concern is damaging winds between 8-11PM west of the Mississippi River. The storms are then expected to weaken as they approach the Wisconsin border late tonight.
Numerous high schools across the state have moved up their games that were scheduled for tonight:
11:30 a.m. kickoff
- Blooming Prairie vs. Rushford-Peterson
12 p.m. kickoffs
- Rochester Mayo at Faribault
- Owatonna at Mankato West
1 p.m. kickoffs
- Kenyon Wanamingo at Goodhue
- Waseca at Albert Lea
- Triton at Kasson-Mantorville
- Austin at Rochester John Marshall
- Stewartville at Chatfield
2 p.m. kickoffs
- Rochester Lourdes at St. Charles
- Cannon Falls vs. Zumbrota-Mazeppa
3 p.m. kickoffs
- Byron vs. Dover-Eyota
- Hayfield at Mankato Loyola
4 p.m. kickoffs
- Bethlehem Academy at Wabasha-Kellogg
- Randolph at Houston

Meanwhile, the Vikings game is still scheduled for 7:00pm at TCF Bank Stadium.
In the event of severe weather, stadium staff will use the public address system to inform fans of the situation and any applicable instructions. All exits, including emergency exits, will be clearly visible.
Fans will be instructed to move to safe indoor areas next to the stadium like Ridder, Mariucci and Williams arenas. You can read more about their emergency plan here.
