Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - More information has been released about the two predatory sex offenders who plan to move to Rochester this week.

The two men were committed to the Minnesota Sex Offender Program after serving their prison sentences for having sexual contact with young girls in Olmsted County.

The two men are 31-year-old Larry Black and 42-year-old Robert French.

Black was committed to the sex offender program in 2006, French in 1997. They are among several men now being released due to recent changes in how their incarcerations are handled by the state.

Both men plan to initially move to a halfway house in the 2100 block of Campus Dr SE, near the federal prison.

The Rochester Police Dept. has scheduled a community notification meeting ahead of their scheduled release, which is Friday. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday at the RCTC Heintz Center, beginning at 6:00 PM.

Representatives from the Minnesota Sex Offender Program, Rochester Police Department, and Olmsted County Attorney’s Office will be available to answer questions.
