You probably knew that Styrofoam is bad for the environment because it isn't biodegradable. But did you know that it's also bad for your health?According to ABC News, a National Toxicology Program reported that Styrofoam is made of styrene, which can  damage your body's DNA and lead to cancer.

Several cities across the country have already outlawed the product. USA Today reported on the issue back in 2013 when the New York City Council passed a ban. According to the paper, Albany County, N.Y., Portland, Ore.; San Francisco; Seattle; and Amherst, Mass have all passed similar laws.

Styrofoam is used for cups, containers and "packing peanuts." Should the Rochester City Council consider the topic?
