People returning to work or school after the holiday break will have to deal with less than ideal road conditions this morning.

The National Weather Service in La Crosse says, "Although the rain, snow, and freezing rain have ended, falling temperatures this morning will cause standing water and slush to freeze on untreated roads. Areas of black ice are also possible, making travel hazardous. Slow down and give yourself extra time to reach your destination!"

Early this morning MnDot was reporting partially covered roads across Southeast Minnesota. Check their latest road condition report here.
