Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  A Rochester small business owner has launched a campaign for a seat on the Rochester City Council.

Annalissa Johnson issued a statement Monday announcing her bid for the 6th Ward seat now held by Sandra Means, who previously announced she would not be seeking re-election this fall. Johnson has operated a dog obedience training business since 2003.

She says she would focus on supporting neighborhoods, public safety, transportation and other quality of life issues. Her statement also indicates she would speak out for small businesses in the community.
