Small Business Saturday… and Santa

Is it too early to get excited for Santa? I know that the Turkeys are not on the tables yet and we have lots to be thankful for but...

Santa is coming to town! A couple of nights ago, I was at ABC Toy Zone. I got a sneak peek of the location where Santa is going to be. It's under construction and the back of the store is turning into a Santa wonderland! I got the scoop from one of Santa's elves and it looks like Santa will be arriving just in time for Small Business Saturday, November 26th at 10am.

As I was walking out of the store I noticed these cool festive slippers with bells on it. I think I will put that on my Santa "I've been good this year" wishlist. Would you rock these super cool slippers? I know I would.

Speaking of Small Business Saturday (#shopsmall) I was curious how it got started. It was the brain child of American Express as an attempt to carve it's own niche outside of Cyber Monday and Black Friday. Now officially trademarked, it has become an important day for small businesses.

Downtown Rochester is also jumping on the #shopsmall bandwagon. Here are some of the stores that are participating in Small Business Saturday:
