Undated (KROC AM News)  -The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has issued another air pollution health alert due to smoke from numerous forest fires still burning in Canada.

The advisory covers the  northern two-thirds of the state.The agency issued a similar advisory on Saturday. Conditions improved with the arrival of rain over the eastern half of the state Sunday night but the PCA says the smoke is returning.

The agency says as of 9:00 a.m. Monday, air quality across the northern two-thirds of Minnesota had reached unhealthy levels. Air quality is expected to remain poor throughout the day on Monday.

While air quality is currently good across southern Minnesota, including the Twin Cities, smoke may return to the area later today. For current air quality conditions visit www.pca.state.mn.us/aqi.
